I have two friends for many many years now, who although live in totally different cities now, always were a help in the past. It is the sort of friends that always help you and you always help them. The distance tho make it very difficult for me to keep regularly in touch, so we have had times when we did not speak for a very long periods of time.

Other than that, in the location where I live, I know no one. Considering the above however, I think I am a lucky guy

And an online friend, who I chat and game with.

I'm not sure if your cousin would count since he is your family member, though.

None, Unless Imaginary Friends count then I have either 11, or Twelve if imaginary Rivals count.

If online friends count, I have about 10 but I only actively talk to two of them.
I don't have any in person.

I guess it depends on how you define friend but not many, I don't have people I do things with besides my family. You get damaged after getting backstabbed and abandoned by people you thought were your friends, even if they don't it's all static and fleeting. I never exactly knew how I made friends ever in my life ever, it never came naturally and I would guess it was probably initiated from the other side. The worst thing is that I know I probably wasn't a great friend, I wasn't a person that had the awareness or maturity that I have now and hindsight is always 20/20 so of course now I know all the moves I should of made. I don't trust or let people get that close to me anymore, anxiety sabotages everything and I'm blind to what's in face so it's hard not to feel helpless. Even on the internet, I've never gotten on board with social media and I had I guess internet friends but always at arm's length and not so much anymore

Why should not a cousin or a family member count? I have several cousins and family members, but I am not friends with any of them.

For me, 0.

Less and less as time goes by and they get to know the real human that is me.
:(

I hate dealing with the mass psychosis/delusion.

I am lucky to have one friend. His ADHD is what makes us compatible.

I only connect to very strict qualities to make a good friend. Strangers are told of my passive behavior and lack of smiling...this does not mean I can't be happy to see someone I know well.

I dont have any true friends.i have plenty of acquientences though. The last time i had a social life was in high school. I had a group of people i hung around but i wasn't very close to them.they used to invite me to their homes when they had parties. I never told them i had aspergers, but they seemed to pick up from my behavior that i was different. They seemed to care about me . I often think of them . I can relate to what someone else metioned about hind sight. I also wasnt mature or aware enough as a teenager to form deep meaningful relationships.trust is a big issue for me
Too. I wonder if one really needs friend ship once they reach adult hood.

why wouldn't you need it?

i'm no one to speak...of course...but the idea of spending my 20...30s...40s...50s... with no one to turn to but family and maybe a SO doesn't sit well with me. at all.

i appreciate my family but i also like to have someone beside me that i had to do something, to be with.
