One thing I like about asperger's syndrome is that I could think in pictures and that I could have a memory that goes far back. A thing I dislike about asperger's is that I can't socialise as well as other people.

my memory sucks.. bad. My first memory is of being about 4 or 5. And I only have 3 memories of the 0-6 age.... not good, most likely due to repression of memories. But all the other fun asperger stuff I have

My outragiously good memory

What I don't like about it:

Inability to talk to people
Constant worrying.

Like:

-Visual thinking
-Ability to remember lots of things about practically everything (that don't involve personalities/'people' or short-term activities)
-Ability to see things in plans, things, maps, landscapes, etc that others miss
-Ability to think of several distinct subjects at the same time (multitasking)
-intense interest in things and ability to think logically about them
-small circle of close friends

dislike:

-inability to relate to others on a personal level
-*horrible* short-term memory (I have to write EVERYTHING down on the 'to do' list or I'll forget them)
-extreme shyness, especially on things relating to jobs, etc, to the point where it has devestated my career progress
-Difficulty in getting started at things
-not being 'close' to anyone in the family
-inability to get past 'hello' when a nonbusiness-related first meeting with a female is 'in person'
-inability to get 'command line' and other non-user friendly interface computer programs to behave (it's why I use a Mac)
-often getting sensory overload in 'busy' situations in unfamiliar places

True, this is a negative aspect of it. I had this problem as well, but have since been accepted by my redneck neighbors. The only other major issues I have with it is the difficulty finding a suitable job and an difficulty getting into a relatinship.

I like my computer, music, and creative/inventive thinkiing skills, and high intelligence.

I like:
Being logical
Being happy with little company, and being able to spend countless hours on an activity without getting bored
Not feeling the drive to be like everyone else
Excellent visual memory, so spelling, grammar etc almost intuitive
Spatial/systematic intelligence
The way music and simple things, words, patterns etc affect me 8)

I don't like:
Being targeted for discrimination or bullying
Being forced to spend time with people I can't stand being around
Being unable to function properly in an ordinary workplace setting
Being used, or treated like an idiot by people with half my ability
Sensory stress
Tripping over my own feet/tongue/inanimate objects
Being unable to remember 'unimportant' stuff, and constantly getting stuff in a mess
Depression/anxiety
