OK, Sorry, this has nothing to do with Autism and it's kind of a gross question but it has been seriously bugging me and I can't rest until I get an answer. We all know about those nagging questions that just have to be answered at all cost. I am very serious actually even though this is very light hearted. I have no intentions of offending anyone at all so if you are vision impaired please do not take offense. I don't have anyone else who can can answer this question so I am asking it here hoping someone here can answer it.

Ok, here goes. How do blind people know when they are done wiping their butts? I am not blind at all and I use baby wipes and it takes thorough care to get all the little tiny bits out so that everything is completely clean. If you can't see the tiniest bits, how do you know they are out? I imagine they are too small to be felt through the paper or wipes and too small to be smelled. Sorry if this is gross but I am really curious. I think if God forbid, I ever went blind, that would be one of my greatest concerns.

I guess they'd have to take a wild guess, based upon how it feels there. If it's completely dry, then it's probably clean.

I've been wondering that too actually - exactly the same thing!
My brain tends to think about supposedly pretty irrelevant things at times and whenever I saw a blind character in a TV show, a documentary or in real life, I began to wonder how their "off-screen life" works. Obviously, I never dared to ask someone personally either. I always considered that a breach of their private life and as potentially insulting. I also never saw a documentary cover that touchy subject. :o
While I'm at touchy... Well, not only the touch sense is more intense when people lose their ability to see or never had the ability to see. The hearing and the smelling is intensified as well. I doubt they can make anything out through hearing, so what remains is smelling. I would figure it might be a combination of how it feels and, well... You get the idea.

But yeah, I would actually be curious if anyone (who is blind) will even answer that question.

Well blind people do have heightened senses and can tell a lot of things you would not think they could. I am sure it is something that requires training. They could use smell. How their butt crack feels.

Plus blind people seem to have a sort of sixth sense type of thing. They are often asked, "how did you do that?" or "How did you know that?". There have been blind students at my schools, so I have observed these things.

I googled the question and it came up with a ton of hits, so it's like one of those mystery of the ages thing, so you are far from being alone in wondering about it.

I have no idea but I have a question like that. I've always wanted know does a man's thing float in the bath. I don't know why but I've always been curious. It's a weird question, but that sort of question always is.

About the toilet thing. On DIY SOS (it's a uk telly show where builders do up/adapt or whatever houses for disabled people or others who can't afford to adapt the house themselves) they often put in toilets that wash you when you're done and then dry you off. Fancy toilets, japanese technology style things. That seems to be a good idea and they must work reasonably well, maybe some blind people use those. The show tended to put them in for those who could almost used a toilet by themselves but couldn't quite. Apart from that I've no clue.

If you have peanut butter on your hand you can pretty much tell when you have finished rinsing it off your hand when your hand is under the kitchen faucet without looking at your hand.

Your johnson is like the rest of your body, made mostly of water, so it has neutral buoyancy. Doesnt really go either up or down in water.

Yeah, those fancy toilets are pretty cool. I have always wanted one. I love the bidet part.

I don't know with the peanut butter on the hand analogy. I have had nut butter on my hand and it feels very different from when I am cleaning myself on the loo. I can't actually feel what is down there. I have to see what the wipe brings up. I do have hemorrhoids though, had them since I was 17 so maybe that makes a difference in how things feel there. Getting a bit graphic! :D It's all good! :D

So it doesn't float? I feel slightly disappointed now, for some strange reason.

Mmmmm. I was going to say if I were sitting or swimming I'd be underwater.... unless I were doing the back-stroke.

I feel like it should float, why I have no idea, I think it would be quite funny if it did float.
