I'm still working on the formal write-up, but I went ahead and created this infographic which shows the results from the self-identity poll that I took throughout April. As a thank-you for helping me get the data I needed, I am publishing this infographic for anyone that wants it. Also, feel free to share so long as I am given credit- Shayna Gier. Thank you :)

That's a great looking infographic, and I think your results are interesting.

How did you get so many responses? Did you collect data from any sites besides WP? If so, do you mind saying which ones?

I had the support of several organizations (ASAN and a few others) and advocate blogs that helped. I personally asked for replies from Wrongplanet, Facebook groups (many), Reddit Subs, and Twitter. I tried to get people to share it on Tumblr, but I'm unsure as to if it managed to get there or not. I wanted to have a large sample size, since I don't have the names of any universities or anything backing me up, the best I could do is make sure to have a large sample size. To the best of my knowledge, I have the largest sample size of autistics so far. the UK study had more overall results, but only 502 autistic responses. So... yea. Here's to hoping that sample size gets some attention!

The sample size is really impressive. Are you planning on publishing your results?

I don't have a clue as to where to do that exactly, but I do plan to send it out to places that might be able to effect some change. I just don't know where that is... I want to though!

Maybe you can write it up as a short research article and send it to the same journal in which the other study was published? I don't know if they would publish it, but it sounds like something that should be widely read.

Those are great graphs that you've generated.
