After many years of trying and failing, have ruled out the idea that friends or a relationship is even possible.

I don't have enough positive attributes to give people an incentive to be around me.

However, don't want to be taken advantage of by unscrupulous people either....

People are turned off by my creepy vibe. It is a vibe of neediness or desperation that I can't seem to shake off.

Which means permanent social isolation..... ** unless ** there is a creative way to give people incentive to be around me.

For example, posting an ad on CL which says:

"Female with Asperger Syndrome seeks a friendship in exchange for [insert something that is not sex]"

However, I fear that such an ad above would attract an unsavory person anyway.... :(

It seems that Aspies like myself would have to do something extraordinary in order to attract someone who is not just out to take advantage.

If I can post a creative ad on a friendship or dating site somewhere, perhaps there is a legit person that would be at least intrigued, if not interested.

What I need is the company of a friend in real life. I have tried to attend activities in my area but come home with no friends. :(

Help me??

Suggestion: Post an ad related to your hobbies. For instance, if your hobby is quilting or skeet shooting, then post an ad seeking other quilters or skeet shooters.

Also Meetups I believe caters to or at least has groups with similar interests for which you can search. I would probably stay away from CL
