I don't have a lot of noticeable autism signs, but the ones I do have are more severe (and less common).

I have an extreme difficulty making friends, severe (What's a stronger word than severe, severe, severedifficulty reading facial expressions, meltdowns, high tolerance to pain and hypersensitivity to touch.

I had more when I was younger, so why could they be?

My experience is different. I have many of the typical symptoms, though most not too severe. However, even the ones I don't have much difficulty with still resonate deeply with me...

I have serious/rather disabling symptoms. I have few meltdowns and non-frequent stimming- when I do handflap, it is obvious. I'm unable to start work at typical places with minor accomodations, not able to live alone, don't always recognize danger (almost been hit by a car multiple times, walking away into a dangerous neighborhood, wandering away because I'm upset...(I used to bolt alot as a kid, with my mom.)

My eye contact is erratic even with people I know well: I might look at your face for minutes then look away for awhile. Developmental level almost age 15, I have one close friendship with someone near my actual age. I can easily become confused with verbal information presented to me. I have severe-moderate dyspraxia which affects my sensory system.
