Opinion on marriage.
Asperger syndrome is passed down through genetics and 2 parents having asperger have a higher chances of producing a child with an asperger syndrome as well.
After having lived through my live through constant bullying and subtle social segregation I have decided not to get married because I feel like no one else should have to live through what I did
Whats your opinion on the subject matter? Of course things may change in the future but I often wish I was living in a planet of aspies. Makes such issue trivial.
I have the complete opposite opinion: the world needs more aspies.
If a larger percentage of the population is on the spectrum, the segregation will disappear as an automatic result (and even if it doesn't, there are plenty of others on the spectrum to be friends with), and the average level of common sense in the world will increase.
Now, having children is perfectly possible without marriage, and marriage without kids is possible as well (or you can adopt), but for the purpose of your question, there you have it.
As strange as it may seem the increase in asperger diagnosis may either result from many people having proper diagnosis or it really is increasing, either way I agree with you both that the world could use a little bit of us so we can band together and force some of our more craft oriented members to create suits of armor so we may claim our own kingdom.
Until then i still stand by that no child deserves the abuse that they suffer at the hands of NT.
The society in Malaysia is relatively more "strict," probably than most of "Western society." This includes an intolerance to differences (e.g., Asperger's).
This make it more difficult, probably, to be Aspergian in Malaysia.
But please do remember: Even two people with Asperger's don't invariably produce a baby on the Spectrum.
But I respect your opinion; it is your right.

Marriage doesn't mean you have to produce offspring, you're probably selling yourself short if you avoid relationships that could result in marriage over that....just don't have kids. Also though its not like you can only meet people with aspergers.

What segregation? Last I checked I can use the same drinking fountains, bathrooms, public spaces ect as anyone else. Perhaps you more mean ostracism like people finding us off putting and not wanting much to do with us...but not sure a larger percentage of aspies would make that go away, we'd still be outnumbered by people without it.

I second everything Sweetleaf just said.
My little brother is autistic and I married into a family with a lot of autistic family members, including my husband (hence my research interests).
Lots of people choose to get married without having kids, and other people choose to not have natural children. Neither is a big deal. However, speaking from the perspective of a person with a genetic disease that is serious, degenerative, and ultimately life shortening, which is something I could have passed on- you're freaking out about something that will not ever be an issue.
Your kids lives will not be the same as yours. They will not deal with what you did, even if they happen to have whatever you might have, be it a disease or neurological wiring. The difference is that they have YOU to benefit from and protect them. Try to chill out about this. You will be a good partner, when you find the right person. And if you want kids, you will be a great parent.

If you're that worried about having a child with Asperger's but would still like to have children, there's always adoption, as well as other methods.
Personally, I have no inherent desire to get married. If I were to marry, it would be because I found someone worth marrying. I don't want kids at all though.

Ditto to everything she has said. My mother also has a serious, degenerative, life shortening disease (she looks like she is in her 80s) it's highly inheritable and I probably have it, but the effects range from non-existent to debilitating. One thing to keep in mind is that Autistics are getting treated better all the time (although it is far slower than I would like). Bullies are not accepted as a part of life like they were in the 80s and dare I say that most kids today have terrible social skills thanks to Facebook and smartphones so the younger aspies won't stick out nearly as much in terms of lack of employment opportunities. It's just like having a child who is homosexual: in my day, that would get you violently and severely beaten (even if someone THOUGHT you were gay like they did to me) but it's accepted as a normal part of life now at least where I live.

No it is not.
Marriage is a scam and so are the licenses that are sold to you.

I stand corrected; i indeed meant ostracism; i was unable to think of the correct word at the time.
No it is not.
Yes, it is, at least partly.
The chance of a child being on the spectrum increases significantly when one of the parents is already on the spectrum, and it increases more still when both parents are; just as a noticable increase is seen when other relatives (but not parents) are on the spectrum.
There is quite likely some nurture effect to developing autism, as well as to the severity, but a genetic component has been pretty much confirmed

As for children, I have excellent relationships with my children. My daughter has a better relationship with me than with her NT mother.
And, nobody makes you have children. Many choose not to have them at all, or just adopt.

All licenses are fraudulent due to being nothing more than protection money from the mafioso-controllers. Have a video by the way.
