One person at college has blocked me on Facebook. I thought we were cool. I only typed rude because he ignored me and I asked him at college about it and he said he was busy so that was okay. Idk why he would block me over that though.
College is getting more difficult because I'm trying to be social but people get mad at me or I get upset. It's super difficult. I'm not sure what to do tomorrow. Also if someone is mean to me I feel like I cannot let it go and I have to be just as mean back, I feel like things are not ok if I just let people be mean to me. I will try not to be mean back but then I can't socialise as well because of that.
I'm trying my best with people and things like this make it difficult. I'm too upset now.

Try talking to the classmate about why they blocked you simply because you were busy. Tell them you're confused and value their friendship. There is nothing worse than just sitting around making yourself antsy.

Yeah, I've had the same problem -- being mean back. The only thing I can say is, don't be. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHETHER YOU ARE RIGHT OR WRONG. That's the way neurotypicals think. They won't reject you if they think you're wrong but they will reject you if they find you hostile or argumentative and your logical arguments will mean nothing to them because for them it's all about feelings.

It took me almost 60 years to learn that. And I still have a hard time letting things go. But you have to, unless their behavior is so over the top that you don't want to be their friend.

Another thing to keep in mind that I've discovered -- things that I find insulting don't register that way for neurotypicals, and vice versa. For example, I get upset if someone questions my qualifications or makes any kind of ad hominem assertion -- to me, that's unfair. They get upset if you make a neutral, logical argument, because to them that's an attack.

I see. So must attend college as if nothing happened? I'm not really friends with the guy who blocked me but we spoke a little before. I really wouldn't be cool with allowing someone to treat me badly though...
