is this some type of repetive speech or is this compulsive or both

i did this my whole life

I ask the same questions over and over, but that's because I immediately forget what somebody answered or I don't understand them the first couple times and need them to either reword their statement for me or speak very slowly so my brain can catch up.

I try to not do it because I know it irritates people and because I get embarrassed about my memory being bad but this thread is a relief. I also ask the same questions because I am confused and trying to understand something so contradictions are confusing. You can't tell me one thing and then say another. But I know repetitive question asking irritates a lot of people so they assume I am not listening. Plus I do it to make sure I understand and your answers need to be consistent. Do not tell me to do one thing and then say more to what I am supposed to do, that will confuse me.
