I started noticing this trait about 20 years ago: I'd write down a date for an event I wanted to attend, and the time, and the address, and when I'd show up, I'd be told "It was yesterday." Or I'd get the right date but the address wrong. So I've tried to be double careful, asking my self, Am I sure? Doublechecking, etc. Sometimes I get it right. But when I still get it wrong, it can be a melt-down.
A variant is name face and place. I can remember where I met someone before but forget their name. Or remember their name and forget where we met.
Or I mix up names, like calling john "Paul, and paul "John." Or calling Christy "Karen"
Maybe it's just me. But if any of this is part of your lived world, please chime in.I 'm just curious.
Not a big problem for me, but it happens sometimes. I do verify all information.
