It could well be. The fact that your mood gets so good can be a sign; I'm sure not a diagnostician, though.

My psychiatrist said that I may have bipolar disorder type II - episodes of depression and hypomania. I don't have diagnosis yet, because that's not completely sure, but still, that seems possible. Last summer I had an episode of elevated mood (sometimes euphoric and energetic, sometimes irritable with violent thoughts), at autumn I was often anxious and I had lots of mood swings. Then I got depressed and now my mood has been slowly gotten more stable.

I'm not bipolar but I have experienced most of the symptoms at some point. I've had depression 5 times now and I've had delusions of grandeur in the past. I never quite reach the point of mania though. I feel that over the past few years I've become much more level in my moods so maybe it was my teenage hormones doing all the mood-changing.
