I've gotten pretty damn weird in my life, but I find I like cooking. I hate the part that requires me to eat something. Idk, there's something about digestion or feeling full I like. But I also don't like being hungry. This isn't me like, saying oh I love the feeling of being hungry.

I just wish humans beings didn't have to eat. I wish I could bottle the flavors I like up, and drink them or just taste them.

I eat because I have to. It's just Maximum Effort to do so.

Well TBH I don't enjoy food as well as I used to, even at restaurants/caffes food ain't good anymore. I am an okay-ish cook and what I make usually tastes better than that sh***y restaurant fast food I try to avoid.

Hm, well I don't hate eating but I don't think I love it as much as people I know. As a result, I sometimes forget to eat and don't care. I have favorite foods that I really like to eat, though. ^^

I don't like feeling full, either. I am more comfortable with being a little hungry. I get stomach aches easily when I'm full, which doesn't help me feel motivated to eat.

I've never understood why people eat as much every day as they do. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner seems like too much! I think I'd rather eat a slightly bigger breakfast and then not have to eat the rest of the day.

This is the part I agree with. I don't hate eating -- it's just that it's a complete nuisance to have to eat. Life would be so much simpler if eating were an optional activity, like, say, watching a movie. "You know, I haven't eaten in a couple of months. Why don't I go get something to eat this afternoon." :D

I hate eating when it gets in the way of my other activities. Otherwise I like it, as long as I like the particular food and I'm hungry. I'm a time miser.

Com'n!

Lol... :D :D

But seriously eating with people is a great way to break the ice, eating with friends is a great way to know them better and having a familiy dinner is a great way to talk about issues and strenghten bonds.. It's not only the food itself, but also the act, the social "ceremony" of eating...

P.S Thank GOD!! ! I rememberd to copy this post to my clipboard (copy pasta) because when I clicked submit evil anti spam captcha bot came and decided I should rewrite the entire thing. damn. I'm hungry all the time and eat a lot. I like eating. But at the same time I wish I did not feel the need to eat all the time. One thing is it's like a mandatory thing. And often there are mandatory meal periods either at school or home. And even though I eat a lot, I am very thin, so there's comments about me getting enough to eat. So love it and hate it.

I hate needs in general.

Whether it's the most basic biological needs like eating and sleeping, or something specific for functioning like routines and medications, or even cultural and societal necessity like mandatory attendance and maintaining reputation.

Yes I gather that's the neurotypical way. Me, I get very little out of the collective eating thing, I'm not a ceremonial person. I go along with it sometimes to avoid inviting contempt, but mostly for me it's awkward and uncomfortable. The only exception is a bit of one-on-one food sharing. I don't do groups much, except music groups. Loafing around a cafe table with a few avant-garde types has been known to work though.

Sad to hear the Captcha Monster gave you trouble. I would destroy it if I could.

I don't hate eating, but I often find it boring, like a chore I have to do to stay alive.

It can be work for me, I have food allergies, stenosis of the throat and eosinophilic esophagitis. That means my throat narrows and it's ridged inside instead of smooth. I have to chew food very very thoroughly before swallowing, or it gets stuck. Sometimes while I eat my throat swells a little inside so swallowing becomes harder.

With some foods, buy the time I've chewed it enough to safely swallow it, it's lost all flavor and if there's any pleasure to eating it's in the flavors.

As to the social aspects of eating: no thank you. I find it awkward, I always feel like I eat gracelessly and noisily and am disturbing to watch. I can't carry on conversation while I eat, due to the above problem. Eating a meal takes a long time already, and if I'm expected to talk with my mouth empty between bites it takes a ridiculously long time. I don't like watching other people eat, and I really don't like others sitting around watching me eat long after they're done.

I definitely prefer to eat alone, and there are times when I would prefer not to have to eat at all.
