I don't hate eating, but I often find it boring, like a chore I have to do to stay alive.
It can be work for me, I have food allergies, stenosis of the throat and eosinophilic esophagitis. That means my throat narrows and it's ridged inside instead of smooth. I have to chew food very very thoroughly before swallowing, or it gets stuck. Sometimes while I eat my throat swells a little inside so swallowing becomes harder.
With some foods, buy the time I've chewed it enough to safely swallow it, it's lost all flavor and if there's any pleasure to eating it's in the flavors.
As to the social aspects of eating: no thank you. I find it awkward, I always feel like I eat gracelessly and noisily and am disturbing to watch. I can't carry on conversation while I eat, due to the above problem. Eating a meal takes a long time already, and if I'm expected to talk with my mouth empty between bites it takes a ridiculously long time. I don't like watching other people eat, and I really don't like others sitting around watching me eat long after they're done.
I definitely prefer to eat alone, and there are times when I would prefer not to have to eat at all.
