I'm desperate for an answer to my struggles here. I'm a young adult and because of this problem, I have never been able to achieve anything that I'm proud of or worth showing off in my life, such as writing code or something else. I struggle with setting goals and inertia, that I haven't found an answer to my struggles-I read, read, read on my entire life about a subject but I can never seem to even start one small step of "doing" and it's making me feel very anxious and cripples my self-worth. I also know that it's better to break down goals into smaller tasks, but because of the way my brain works, I can't even deduce from a big goal the smaller steps needed, and in which order to achieve it. I also have no creative or imaginative thinking at all, but I thought people with AS were supposed to be brilliant thinkers.

Please help me and reply, I'm really struggling.

Not sure what to say here. Maybe if you posted a particular goal? Or maybe if you start with what you value in life, and then maybe people could help you come up with the goal and the smaller tasks if you like the goal?

have tried stopping read?
it may be hard if you love to read, but reading itself can get in the way of doing
