Yes, I am mostly like this. When I need to buy clothes, once I find something I like, and that fits, I usually buy several of the same thing, in several different colors. Then I don't have to keep looking for more outfits. I also tend to keep the clothes until they literally wear out. I will cut battered sleeves off of tops and sweaters to turn them into vests, to get even more wear out of them.
I can't stand too tight clothes, and I do have a skin sensitivity problem, so I have to watch out for rough tags on the back of the neck, too tight neck lines--so crew necks are out, and I also have a problem with most foot gear, as most of them have a rough seam at the inside back of the heel, which will chafe my heels raw, even through thick socks. I will only buy foot gear that doesn't have such a seam facing the heel. I can't wear those flip flops with the divider between the toes, because that will cut the space between my toes within a minute or two of putting them on. When I was a kid, my being fussy about foot gear because of these problems bothered my parents. They just didn't think believe that I was really having so much trouble with foot gear. Besides, they were shelling out a lot of money on special foot gear because my feet turned out, so they didn't really want to deal with me not liking those shoes. They finally stopped buying these special shoes when I was a preteen. Both of my feet still turn out some, one more than the other, so I tend to doubt the effectiveness of those "special" shoes.
My take on clothes, is, if you are paying for it, buy and wear what you want, within reasonable limits--but no thong bathing suits for either gender. Nobody on the entire planet looks good in those.
