My biggest issue is self discipline. I know I should exercise more, wear my cpap, eat healthy, brush teeth everyday..and many other things but I do not do them because I have a very hard time making myself do anything.

I plan on getting my thyroid checked soon. Many family members have hypothyroid. My body feels so tired all the time, my legs feel like jello :/

Seems many people with autism suffer what's called executive dysfunction. Including me. Especially today.

what works for many, can be called "brains on paper" which is a list of tasks which guide your day. the stuff that you know you should do, put on top along with the daily chores, and the bottom of the list is optional stuff. the next day, if all the dailies are out of the way from the previous day, put some of yesterday's optional stuff atop the list. check off items as they are completed. start and end your day with this list, as it will save you from indecision and paralysis.

Seems like at least in my case three things go together: executive dysfunction, depression and anxiety. Or maybe it's that depression and anxiety causes executive dysfunction.

I become easily distracted, procrastinate a lot and snack far too frequently, all of which are even more troublesome when I am depressed.

Absolutely. If I don't get quiet time alone, it is infinitely worse.

If anything, I'm probably over self disciplined. I have a huge amount of control over what I do and don't do. It has its positive effects, but I also think that it can be very negative.

Self discipline...?

I'm a free range aspie - what can I say. Rules are guidelines in my book. I get lots done but it's mostly what I want to do (my wife is pretty good at convincing me what I want however  )

My self-discipline is sucky; it's gotten me in some trouble at times.

Knowing that you are a viable human being, despite whatever "disability" or whatever you have.

I absolutely insist that I am a decent person, despite the fact that I suck at being social.

And if somebody wants to put me down having a disability, or for being sort of a nerd....I just ignore them.

I know I'm valuable.

And many people with "disabilities" have special skills which are needed.

I can't even BEGIN to put together a music system.
