Summer just finished here and we had several days when the dew point was in the upper 70's with temperatures in mid 90's for a heat index of 118.

It monumentally cheeses me off when the weather forecasters think they have to apologize for bringing news of clouds and rain and cooler temperatures, they never seem to give a hefty hoot about those of us who flee from blasting doomrays of sunshine and heaving heat! Selfish swines!

I find weather fascinating. I listen to different types of weather on my headphones as a background when I'm sleeping. I also like to watch videos of weather on YouTube.

I've always enjoyed doing weather photography, especially with visually beautiful storms (although the most aesthetically pleasing ones also tend to be the most dangerous, so there's definitely a dark side to that hobby that can make it feel a little vulture-ish).

We have something like this in Poland: http://new.meteo.pl/um/php/meteorogram_ ... =0u&id=486
I use it quite often to predict what the weather will be like.
Temperatura = Temperature.
Punkt środkowy = average point (of temperature).
Odczuwalna =(temperature) felt .
Temperatura punktu rosy = Dew Point.
Wilgotność wzg. = rel. Humidity.

Today we are having 6*C, dew point is 5*C and humidity 90%.
At night it's gonna be 5*C, dew point 5*C, Humidity 98%. Talk about bad.
Tomorrow it's predicted to be 9-10*C, dew point 3-4*C, Humidity 62%. Still oppressive.

I really miss summer.
I don't even mind humidity then. High humidity in summer means a thunderstorm cloud is about to create.
My favorite weather is 24-28*C and high humidity. It feels nice and the sky is getting interesting.

BTW. Poland seems to be very humid country. Take a look: http://www.imgw.pl/images/stories/all/k ... 0_wilg.jpg Average relative humidity during the year is 76-86%... Here how it looks like in Warsaw over the year: http://www.weatheronline.pl/cgi-app/kli ... ORMAL&MD5=

No wonder I hate leaving the house.

i am glad the summer here is over. everything in the winter feels x10 better, even doing regular things like
making your own favorite hot drink.

I watch the sky, plants, and animals, to tell the weather pattern.

Anything above 68F or 20C feels instantly oppressive to me, like walking into a wet washcloth. Above 58F or 15C is uncomfortable if I have to move around too much. Luckily 70 degree dewpoints aren't so common here in Turkey compared to the US. We get extreme heat, but with moderate humidity. It's still really bad, but not that "swimming in the air" feeling you get in the US midwest in the middle of July.
