Privileged. By an accident of birth, I am a citizen in a country safer than most, which has loads of natural resources, great beauty, relatively little corruption, a free public health system and other significant advantages. I live in a beautiful area. My tertiary education was provided at minimal cost (a token fee compared to the market fees charged now) and I have never had to struggle for basic daily needs like water, enough food, adequate shelter throughout my life. The news on tv reminds me how privileged I am every night. Free public health care has no doubt given me years of life I would not otherwise have had, given the medical conditions I inherited.
