I doubt if I have an autistic spectrum disorder. I was diagnosed with aspergers syndrome when I was 11 or 12. But other doctors said I have just social anxiety, no syndrome. They connected some cables to my head and they scanned my brain. According to that report I have too much anxiety.

But I have many of AS symptoms such as:
- I feel nervous in social areas.
- I cant easily have eye contact with strangers.
- I have zero friends.
- I dont go out too much.
- Limited interests (computer gaming).
- I cant laugh usually when I'm nervous in social areas. I usually only smile.
- I don't look like too much ret*d but I look weird. For example I don't shake my hands randomly or rotate my head 90 degrees but I look weird a bit.
- I dont know what to do when someone makes fun of me.

What am i?

Did/do you have trouble understanding social cues? Like knowing what to do in a social situation?

Yes I have trouble about that. Sometimes I don't understand sarcasm for example. Sometimes I dont understand their face expressions. They must tell me their thoughts verbally so i can understand.

Ok thanks for reply. I think I need to accept my defeat and learn to live with autism. But I have some questions:

I am 18 years old and 2 years ago I left my high school and switched to open high school (open school = education from home). Because I felt too bad because of autism. Anyway, I finished open school and now I need to go to university. I'm studying for university entrance exam now. My question is: Is it hard to finish a 4 year university (college) and to get a job as a person with Aspergers?

My second question is: Can I have friends as an aspergers?

Another question. As I know it's impossible to fix aspergers syndrome and to be a normal human being but... Is there a therapy or something for developing my social skills, and decreasing AS effects?

Depends on what your specific deficits are. It may be harder than for the average person, but you can do it.

Can I have friends as an aspergers?
Like above, it may be harder than for NTs, but it's very possible. I find online is a good place to make friends.

Is there a therapy or something for developing my social skills, and decreasing AS effects?
I'm not sure. If you have a therapist, you may want to talk to them about it. And you may be able to find books on how to improve your social skills.

Universities often have special interest clubs that may give you a rare opportunity to socialize with like minded people.

Of course you can finish school and get a job with aspergers! Lots of us do. Most people who don't finish collage and get a job have something called co-morbid conditions. That doesn't mean it's going to kill them. It means that there is more than one condition making it hard for them. The key to finding a keeping a job is to find a niche where you feel comfortable.

You can also make friends. I sounds like you would benefit from learning more about aspergers so that you can know more about what kinds of challenges you might face, and what other people have done to succeed.

Thanks for replies but... I want to study for university and I'm doing that but I can't find anything else to do. My exam is on march 2017 and i will start going to university on september 2017 probably. What should i do in my free time. At the moment I am playing mobile video games but it's just for fun and it wastes my time. It also drops my IQ. My IQ was 141 when my doctor tested my iq (5/6 years ago). But i think my iq is decreased. For example when I'm solving a math question my brain randomly stops working and i need to start solving the question from the beginning. I want to stop playing games and do something different. I want to do something that I can make money for example $$$. But I dont want to get a job like cashier or cleaner or similar jobs because of my autism. Can someone tell me what i should do in my daily routine.

My current daily routine:
7:15am - 8:30am : wake up, go for a walk, return home
8:30am - 9:00am : take a shower, do breakfast
9:00am - 10:00pm : do random activities like playing games studying and watching tv.
10pm : go to bed

Can you make me a new daily plan.

Great idea! Start a plan before you go to university. That way you can avoid spending time and money studying something you don't want to do.

Spoon's Suggested Game Plan:

1.The first thing you need to do is figure out 3 professions that you think you would like to do. Write those down. Research them a bit online.

2.Go to your family and friends to see if you know anyone working in those fields. Ask to be introduced to them. You can also work through people who know you have aspergers, so that they match you with someone who will be understanding.

3. Find people in those professions who are willing to have a casual conversation with you. Make an appointment to talk with them. In the conversation, ask all about what it's like to work in their profession. At the end, ask if they know of anywhere you could look for internships, or if there is anyone else you should talk to. Take notes. Write down contact information.

4. Find an internship or volunteer position in those professions and go do it for a few weeks or months. You are going to end up doing boring grunt work, but you will get an inside take on what working there is like.

What I'm suggesting is called networking. Its the best way to find a good job after school. This will put you WAY ahead of your peers in university. It will also get your head out of the computer for at least a few hours of the day.

What are the best jobs for aspergers. I'm very unconfident to get a job and i have social anxiety. If i start working at a business I know they will go bankrupt. It will be too hard for me to find a job. I always wanted to be a computer programmer but it's something i can do after i graduate university.

I need an asperger friendly job that doesnt require too much social interaction. Can you suggest.

And can i go to a normal university for normal people? or should i go to some other disabled school? It sucks to be disabled, i am not stupid and i can understand everything except social things. but a small error in my brain makes me disabled and socially awkward. It sucks man. I just want to be normal nothing else but it's impossible.
