The ceremony was quite exceptional. We held it in the gymnasium of the Hope Presbyterian Church (I think that's how you spell it

) After our guest speaker, the Shelby County Sherriff, said his piece, we gave a few awards, saw a preview of the memory video (kinda like a yearbook on a DVD), and stepped out as high schoolers. I know i will miss everybody in the class (especially my crush, who actually hugged me after the ceremony

). One of the highlights was the Congressional Achievement Award that we all recieved, thanks to one Senator Harold Ford Jr. who came to our school earlier that year to speak to our Social Studies class while we were doing a unit on politics (Complete with a mock election between Bush and Kerry by the school, which, unfortunately, turned out the same way the real election did.)
There is also another change that occured right after graduation, but that is a tale for another thread.
