Hello.
I wonder if anyone knew much about Tangential thoughts and speech patterns.

I have suffered from this type of thinking all my life, although i usually can converse on subject,
I often during a conversation go off on tangents.

This, I have read can be a trait of Autistic Spectrum Condition, but also can be a trait or symptom of high levels of anxiety, as well as a trait of schizophrenia. Although, i thought that when it comes to schizophrenia, the individual is incapable of keeping on topic.

This is not the case for me as i can always answer peoples questions without going completely off subject, however during my answers or part of a conversation i do have a tendency to go off on related tangents, giving more details than necessary (as i often think i am doing a better job by giving more details) and am often answer with intensity and talk at high speed, which can be too much for some to cope with.

I was wondering if anyone out there knew much about the subject
Thanks
