So I was tested for Aspergers as a kid because I was sensitive to sound and smell and was kinda clumsy and didn't have many friends after like 1st grade. I always thought it was cause I was shy but I don't know. I also was apparently was obssesed with thomas the train for a bit in my childhood. I heard it's how the child plays with the trains that determines if it's a sign of ASD. All I remember was roleplaying and playing sometimes with my parents but not my sister cause she always messed up the tracks. Also putting everything away neatly, then my parents said out of nowhere I stopped caring if I put it away neat because it was too much work lmao. So when I was tested they just left it at possible PDD. Now I'm 17 don't have any sensory problems, not as clumsy, got over my shyness and I'm able to make friends somewhat but I'm still a tad awkward at times. And then I don't know how many times I have taken the AQ test to see if I have it, but every single time I get a 14. I even had my dad take it because if I inherited it from anyone it definitely was him. He either got a 21 or 22. So what do you guys think. I know to get a real diagnosis I need to go to a professional but I'm just curious. Also I should add I have been diagnosed with ADHD

All of that COULD be NT or Aspie. Go talk to someone, no sense not knowing. You can read some about it too, help find what feels like you or not like you before you talk to someone.

ADD is an entirely separate animal, and nothing in your post leads me to think one way or the other about it.

When I recommend others to complete the Autism Spectrum Quotient (AQ) screening test, I remind them to answer the questions honestly about themselves, not merely what they believe the correct answer to be.

"Possibly PDD" doesn't sound like a real diagnoses. It just means they were unsure and couldn't figure it out based on the test results. I would talk to your parents about it to see if you were actually diagnosed with it or not.

"A tad awkward" doesn't seem like a problem. What's your motivation for pursuing this? Diagnoses are for people with serious problems.

Hm. That is strange.

It's extremely difficult to be "honest" in these kind of tests. Because we find it rather hard to judge ourselves accurately. (Or at least I do)

I'm going to try it one more time and REALLY think before I answer, maybe then I'll get different results

I did that three times, each time believing that I had misunderstood the questions.
