Is my hatred of being late connected to autism?
I absolutely dread being late. I'm always one of the first people to my classes. When my mother is driving, I always rush her out of the door to be there early, even though we're usually two or three minutes late. I was wondering, is there a specific autism-related cause for this, is it a learned behaviour, or is it natural?

I have vague memories when I was younger of my biological mother being late and me not liking that. For the past few years may family has always been early maybe even a bit to early to the point of it being annoying. I specifically am annoyed when I make a appointment and the other side is late.

I dread being late, too, but I don't know if it has anything to do with autism. It could be, I guess. I remember one time I missed the bus to go to somewhere important and I was really late. I was so upset that I had thoughts of harming myself. I actually broke a glass jar and was about to cut myself, but I called some crisis hotline and they helped me out. This was about 3 years ago and I don't do that self harming stuff anymore.
