It dawned on me earlier that very rarely am I ever hungry, but will still eat food - part of this is the psychological thing of knowing you should eat, but I believe the other is the craving for stimulation through flavour. I also tend to enjoy very strong or very salty foods, so chili, curry, stilton etc.

So, does anyone else find they eat food purely for the strong tastes associated with it?

I do, everything has to have some sort of sauce, or dressing or I won't eat it. I don't eat if its not one of my obsessions or if it looks weird, or if it feels weird in my mouth, other then that it has to taste sweet, or have a certian flavor or I'll spit it out.

I eat food sometimes when I'm not hungry.
But I do feel hungry quite a lot as well.

I like spicy foods, especially Mexican food or buffalo wings. But when I'm hungry, I'll eat anything that meets a balance between good taste and a reasonable price.
