Aspergers

I hate that I can forget, I can walk in a room wanting something & when I get to the room, I can forget what I want. I hope I don't lose my long term memories, I would hate not remembering my mother. I already started being weird or very picky about what I'm touching when I'm out in public, I don't know if it normal or have do to with Aspergers. Can people with Aspergers get very clumsy & their eyes look dugged or halfway open when they get up in the middle of the night? Does Aspergers have a learning disability or maybe just my Cerebral Pasly? My mom told me I'm mentally challenged. There still alot for me to learn about Aspergers.

I've been doing this for years. Often it helps to walk out of the room, or remembering where I came from brings back what I was looking for. Long term memories are stored differently, so you can have bad short-term memory and still have good long-term.

Can you give examples? I try to avoid touching the inside restroom door handles in public, but don't think that's picky/weird.

I think lots and lots of people do that.

Yes, you can have learning disabilities with Aspergers (besides social).

My memory is really bad too. It's frustrating for both me and others.
Being picky about touching things could easily be from autism.
A lot of people with autism have coordination problems and are clumsy - plus cerebral palsy adds to that.
Also a lot of people with autism have learning disabilities and are cognitively (mentally) challenged.
Your cerebral palsy works with your autism in making things extra difficult for you.
I relate to a lot of what you are talking about. I do not have cerebral palsy, but I have a disorder that's kind of similar. Together they make things pretty difficult.
Hang in there!
