My life experience is different. I worked for the government in the enforcement of law. My job involved little interaction with others but a high skill in reading and interpreting law. I was successful and highly rated. When I left this service to start a consultation business in that very same area of law there was immediate trouble. I suddenly had clients. These clients expected someone who was verbal and engaging. Moving into any job or business where good social interaction skills are vital (almost all) is something to think seriously about. Do you have a partner, for example, who will interact with clients, etc.? I am now retired for many years and all of this happened before I, or anyone else, understood Asperger's. There is work out there that does not dependent on easy social interaction skills.
