Does anyone here have spontaneous loss of language ability that lasts for less than a day, maybe a few hours?

For years this happened and I've recently found out its likely been mini strokes. But, I had been blaming autism this whole time.

I think it even happened here one time when I was asking about this and got treated a little weirdly. I thought it was just a shut down.

I currently have right side weakness from a mini stroke this past Thursday. I've only had one major stroke--giving me lasting aphasia for 6 weeks until speech therapy helped me to be better than ever (still not normal speech).

You are so resilient.

I hope you get to hike the Appalachian Trail some day.

I totally will!

I quit my job recently and started homeschooling one of my kids, so I'm one step closer!

I'm still planning to hike it in about 4 years.

Do they know why you are having all these strokes?

There are some theories, the current theory is my orthostatic hypertension (HyperPOTS) is to blame. I'm on complete bed rest right now. Other theories include structural abnormalities in my cervical spine. Both of these are caused by my genetic connective tissue disorder.
