Aspie Entrepreneurs?

I was wondering if there were very many people that work for themselves in some way, either in arts, or some kind of biz? Any inventors in the midst?

I owned a small vending business. It almost completely circumvented AS difficulties.

past-tense?can you elaborate on your AS experience as an entrepreneur(how you got started,how you dealt with daily responsibilities,etc.)?

I started and own my own business: no employees - me only. I do architecture. Or at least I pretend that I am an architect so well that my buildings get built. And they stay up.

I have been self-employed for most of the last 20 years. Odd jobs, gigs and so on. I made a living as a busker for about 8 years and for the last decade or so I've been a contract driver and have done some speculating. These sorts of things bypass AS problems in a lot of ways too because I'm on my own for the most part, can change my scene often and have pat, well-rehearsed routines with the public I deal with. But I have no job security other than my wits. The price of freedom I suppose.

oh,I really wished to be an architect when I was young.I got sidetracked as a teenager,and I doubt I have the strong math aptitude,but I still entertain the dream sometimes.Was it a life-long plan,or something that came to you after other experiences?Are there any "AS friendly" elements to that work?Where would you direct someone who wished to know more about entering that field?

Well, Flakey who has alot of problems similar to the kinds of problems that aspie/ADDers face owns his own herbal business...and i work with him...then there is Super Happy Fun Land..the most non-neurotypical venue on the block.
I have worked independantly for several years in the past ..doing odd jobs and whatnot...I made my living as a busker before too..that lasted only 6 months though.

My father owns his own appraisal business. While I don't know if he's AS, he sets up jobs with the customers, but after that, he works on his own, measuring buildings, researching recent sales, and writing reports. The only other contact he has is with a proofreader, which is just handled by email.

I took drafting decades ago in high school with a truly exceptional instructor obviously ex of the aviation business.

I did printing and got into graphic art, a good thing to have in a background for archi.

I owned a graphic / advertising business which following print shop management was good business experience.

I have done some construction and handy work which helps too. I cannot stress enough that some hands on experience really helps an archi!

I have kept up with graphics programs. I am decent at math, mostly I draw to code and engineering is done, but I do some and it is mostly simple vectors and levers.

Knowing plan inspectors helps too.

Yes my AS helps. I am good at spatial relationships and decent at math.

poopy,SHFL looks like a good framework for all your creative work.I admit it'd be more people-intensive than I'm usually good for,but it's cool you're all in it together and making it happen.

I am not pursuing a career in architecture but i have a strong appreciation for it.
