Here's a burning issue for you: are you "eye-ambidexterous?" can you close either eye by itself? I can't, I can only close my left eye by itself; if I try to close just my right eye, nothing happens.
Now what makes this interesting for me is that I labelled myself "strongly right-handed" in that forum thread. We know that there is a cross-over of brain function below the neck; the right side of the brain controls the right side of the head, but the left side of the body (and visa-versa). So I guess what I'm wondering is whether there is a correlation between right/lefthandedness (and how pronounced the difference) and the ability to control one eye at a time.

I am eye ambidextruous.
Have you tried that with your ears? I can only move my left ear.
I'm basically right-handed, but I use my left hand a lot as I play the violin, and I can write with my left hand.

I can close one eye at a time, but it's easier to squint.

I can't wiggle my ears, and I can only frown with one eyebrow.

i have such a long tongue, i can stick it UP my nose. does that count? keeps the kids at school entertained (if i'm absolutely desperate for them to be quiet).

can wiggle all sorts of things ambidextrously, which comes in handy...

I can close one eye at a time, but it's easier to close my left one than my right. I am also right handed. Maybe you're correct, ed.

I can't wiggle anything. But I'm eye ambidextruous. I'm also self taught writing ambidextruous.

Is anyone's tongue so long they can stick it up the left nostril and down the right?

(while wiggling their ears and eyebrows at the same time)

Now that would be impressive.

I didn't learn to close my eyes softly, without squinting them shut, until I was 10 or 11. Now I can close each eye independantly, control my orbicularis oculi muscles independantly and I also taught myself to cross one eye at a time. I'm a lefty, but it's easier for me to raise my left eyebrow than my right eyebrow. :?

I can close each eye individually without problem and can wiggle each of my ears individually as well.

I am right-handed and not ambidextrous at all.

its quite funny
I practiced wriglling my ears but i nver got that. I can flair my nostrils though like rabbit. :D

I can close each eye at a time.

Sometimes I'll feel the need to have one eye closed and one open because I'll have an "eye-ache" on just one side. This is becoming more frequent and beginning to worry me.
