Do you feel bad about having a backstabber-y sense of humor?

Do you or do you not? It's just like, I feel so bad about making jokes about people that they probably wouldn't like if I said them right to their faces.

Also, I worry about the people I make these jokes with. I know I don't mean the jokes I make, what about some people I make these jokes with who mean what they say? I know I'm just doing an IRL version of react videos where I'm just pushing other people to say laughably tactless things, but doesn't that mean I'm inciting other people to backstab?

I say jokes in my head but I don't always tell others my jokes because then they might tell the other person I was "talking crap" and try to make a big "thing" over

This is exactly what I'm concerned about.

I would feel bad, and it produces outcomes I dislike. I advise stopping. Negativity draws more negativity.

When you find out what's been said about you, remember how that feels and practice empathizing.

I usually feel more bad backstabbing a person with low self-esteem than with high self-esteem. I worry that a person with low self-esteem might be thinking "oh I hope nobody's talking bad about me anywhere," at the exact time I am talking bad about him/her. But I feel that a person with higher self-esteem probably ain't thinking that at all.

Or if a person is a bad person or a bully or just genuinely unlikeable, I don't feel so bad backstabbing them if others are, but if a person has quirks or is strange but means well, I feel so bad when others are talking bad about them.

If it feels bad when you do it you should follow your conscience and modify your humour.
Telling jokes about people behind their backs is a very low form of humour, IMO.
