Not everyone on WP has autism or Asperger's.

People who aren't on the spectrum aren't necessarily NT.

and may i add...."people who aren't on the spectrum or are "NT" are often very capable of relating to and understanding typically autistic struggles"!

Agreed and well put.

To add to that... there are many many "NT" individuals that dedicate their time by way of profession and volunteering to help make our "ND" lives better and more manageable every day; let's not forget that or them. Progress can only be made by us working together. The way I look at it...for every NT that has caused me some distress in my life there is at least one that has brought some joy to it as well. I'm glad someone says so. I hate when people on WP think 99% of the population are neurotypical.

I doubt it was aimed directly at you , have you said something that you think warrants a post directed at you ???

You're right, probably half of this website has Doctors, Parents, and just people who are interested in learning about Autism.

I replied to another one of starkid's topic and used the word NT a lot in my reply. I will try to stop using the word because I suppose it is too generalizing.

One forum I used to be on had a subforum called Island of Misfits.
Those of us on it had varying different issues but we all were able to relate to one another.

I use the term NT a lot, but to me it's just a short way of saying "people with no cognitive disorders or learning disabilities".
