I did an online personality test and i got these results above . this was the first time i heard about something called Schizoid, look at the info about Schizoid provided by this site :
People with schizoid personality disorder avoid relationships and do not show much emotion. Unlike avoidants, schizoids genuinely prefer to be alone and do not secretly wish for popularity. They tend to seek jobs that require little social contact. Their social skills are often weak and they do not show a need for attention or acceptance. They are perceived by others as humorless and distant and often are termed "loners."
Symptoms of schizoid :
* Weak interpersonal skills
* Difficulty expressing anger, even when provoked
* "Loner" mentality; avoidance of social situations
* Appear to others as remote, aloof, and unengaged
* Low sexual desire
* Unresponsive to praise or criticism
I find it also weird of being Shizoid and avoidant at the same time :-s
Avoidant symptoms :
* Social inhibition; retreating from others in anticipation of rejection
* Preoccupation with being rejected or criticized in social situations
* Fear of embarrassment results in avoidance of new activities
* Poor self-image; feelings of social ineptitude
* Desire for improved social relations
* Appear to others as self-involved and unfriendly
* Creation of elaborate fantasy lives
My question is how someone can know if he is schizoid or autistic???
here some things abt my childhood/life:
- speech delay till age 5
- always was a loner
- preferred to be alone
- suck big time at sports , specially ball sports
-i was used to avoid eye contact when i was very little and still do it sometimes.
-i was diagnosed (quick diagnosed , not really very pro diagnosis) as HFA -- so I still suspicious abt this diagnosis
-I emailed once (as adult) to a British autism specialist all required detailed info abt myself(long pages) and he highly estimated that I have a not severe HFA .
- I am sometimes depressed
- I do have ritual routines
- I have obsession about 1-2 things for some period of time and I jump to another
- I suck in love relationship
- I have very few friends
- I find difficulty in staying in touch with friends
- I don't grief in funerals
- I am not sure if i have any kind of sensory issues
- i notice pattern in everything like in persian carpets
- i don't know when it 's my turn to talk when i am on phone
- i have visual mind
so how someone can know if he is really autistic or just have a personality disorder like schizoid ??

I'm sure I could meet most the criteria for schizoid personality disorder. A person could
certainly have comorbid autism spectrum "disorders" and schizoid personality disorder.
In the past perhaps 10 years ago I was for less schizoidal and more just social phobic/avoidant. So one can certainly have social cognitive problems from ASD that leads to phobic avoidance of social situations and in time lead to lack of interest in most social contact(schizoid personality disorder).
I took that test before here is and old thread on it:

i didn't know i am schizoid and schizotypal, but from the characteristics it fits
and yes, i am narcissistic (but i don't lie to others, only to myself)
so how someone can know if he is really autistic or just have a personality disorder like schizoid ??
i think by definition, an autistic person automatically have schizoid personality. as you mentioned your other sings, you can see you have much more than that.
in my case it is even more strange, to be narcissistic and avoidant and schizoid at the same time

I think the key difference is a schizoidal persons does not want/need social contact and
an autistic person has social cognitive problems but still can want social contact. So not
all autistic persons would be highly schizoidal but a lot might be.
I was diagnosed with Schizoid Personality Disorder back in '94 (during a stay in a psychiatric hospital after a suicide attempt); however, it was qualified with "may seem odd to others."
Awareness of Asperger's was still in its early infancy at the time (doctors in Texas are always the last ones to hear about anything in the field).
