I just spoke to Ghosthunter on the phone and he asked me to post this for him. He just discovered that through all the chaos of travelling, he misplaced his wifi card at a coffeeshop, and he's now on a Greyhound out of town so it's too late to go back for it. Rather ironic, since his last post was about disappearing for lack of wifi in St. Paul. So he wanted me to warn you guys that with his only net access through BeeBee's dial-up, he might not be back for a long time.

I tried to convince him to look for free internet access at a local library, but he's adamant that it would count as begging and he won't do it.

Anyone who wants to talk to him, the best way would probably be to relay messages through myself or BeeBee.

Lots of people, even people with computers, use free internet access at libraries, without considering it begging.

I know, and I agree, but I'm not sure how to convince him of that.

I've actually done the same thing, though I was able to go into the place a day later and reclaim the WiFi Card. I suggest that he call the place up, ask to speak to the manager, and tell them what happened.--Hopefully somebody was nice enough to turn it into the store in question.

Did he tell you the town he was in when he misplaced the card. Maybe someone can go get it for him or contact the Starbucks to send it to him.

And no, using internet service at the library is not begging. The taxes that people pay on their property or to their state on income and sales pay for its use. I will try to convince him of that when he returns.

Just talked to him again. It was in Charlesville, Virginia, at the coffee shop with wifi at the mall in the historic district. He doesn't remember the exact name, it was Mud-somthing Coffee. Thanks ljbouchard.

It was wherever Alex lives. I'm going to PM Alex in a minute to check with him, cause GH just told me he would know for certain.

Cool. Let me know whether Alex has any luck tracking down the wifi card. If you need someone to call the coffee shop, just PM me their number.

Alex is tracking the card down right now. If he does get it, I will have him mail it to BeeBee's house.

I've really found Ghosthunter's posts inspirational to read, especially after he started his travels.

Why would you post that for Ghosthunter, Pyraxis?

Good News,

Alex has contacted the coffee shop and they put the card aside for him. I will get BeeBee's address and Alex can mail it to him.
