I've had problems with "brain buzzing" in the past. It seems to coincide with periods when my sensory problems are being particularly troublesome, so I'm wondering if it's related. The sensation I'm referring to is like a vibrating on the surface of the brain. I found that I could mentally resist it if I tried and sometimes, I think, music would help block it out. Other times, when I was especially strained sensory-wise I would surrender to it entirely, and it was actually a source of some relief to do so. It's like white noise, but purely tactile rather than auditory.
It hasn't been a problem for a while now, and I'm not worried about it. But I'm seeing a doctor soon about my sensory issues, and I want to collect all of my symptoms to present to him. I really need a diagnosis of some sort at this point, and I don't want to miss anything relevant. Then again, this could simply be caused by the anxiety I have as a result of my sensory issues. So is this a common SPD symptom?
