With my recent post about me moving (and looking at my [eventual] Los Angeles move), it had me thinking- do you EVER think it's too late to achieve your dreams?

Me, NEVER. Even though, back in 2002, I jokingly said that it would take me 80 years to graduate high school and college (I graduated HS in 2005, college in 2013, despite the fact I am back taking IT classes), I am now like, it's NEVER too late to achieve your dream; right now, I'm working on 1) moving to the L.A. area (as I've said many times before) and 2) taking IT classes so I can achieve that dream of working in IT for somewhere in L.A.

Even though I'm 30, I am now hopeful as ever about my life than I ever was in my 20s. :D

i always thought that if nothing happens to me by the time i was 30 then there was no way that they were ever going to happen. when i was in high school, i had a "things to do before i'm 30" list, like getting married or least be in a committed relationship, working at a job i love, things like, but none of that as happened and i feel like if none of that has happened then there's no way, i would ever achieve them. i don't want to be in my late 30s, getting married and expecting my first child. i never wanted to be a older parent, i always wanted to have kids young like in my 20s.

You are right, it is never too late. My life didn't even begin to take off until I was 25. A few years later and I am much nearer to where I want to be

I still have dreams although, at my age, some of them can only be accomplished differently from typical people.

I dream of helping others and continuing to improve my tennis skills. I would love to write the story of Denis Istomin's life.

I could still get married, but having children of my own is out of the question. I could still work with children in some way and, if I married a man who had children, I could help and positively influence them in some way.

No....it's hardly ever too late to achieve one's dreams.

The OP is not even 30 years old yet (or maybe has just turned 30). He has a long way to go.

You have a long ways to go, then.

Last I heard, LA is still there, so, yes, there is still time to achieve the dream of moving back there.

On the other hand, some neighborhoods have changed so much that a former resident can't move back to the neighborhood of their childhood. What they remember no longer exists anymore.

There are delays, but the "too late" condition is when the goal has vanished or lost lustre, or you have become excessively handicapped or dead. I was 47 when I achieved what I set out to do at 28, and it was just the start of too many things to do from there, and consequent disaster. I have had many delays and changes of course, but am still plugging away at dreams big and small.

It's not always a matter of time, but more someone's background and if they can afford to reach their dreams.

There's many factors to consider if someone can go back and try and reach their dreams.

Someone like me who is disabled and can't work, I probably will never be able to achieve my dream career since I can't work. My health will get worse over time, so I'll never make it.

It depends on what those dreams are. I don't think it's too late to achieve your dream of moving to L.A. and getting a job in IT, but if by L.A. you mean Los Angeles, you have chosen a fairly expensive city to move to and that is something worth thinking about.

...Is that directed at me?
