Do you absolutely have to have a shower after a haircut?

Thinking this could be related to hypersensitivity, similar to how I have to cut the tags off of all my clothes.

After I get a haircut, I always have to go straight home and have a shower immediately after. Do other people do this? Do you notice neurotically having to do this?

Only if they spray me with something.

Every now and then one of them will spritz me with something scented at the end and I completely lose it and have to get it off of me as soon as possible. I cannot stand anything with a fragrance.

Everyone hates the feeling of cut hair on them.

I HAVE to shower right after a haircut. But I thought this was just a normal thing for most? Although, I know a few people that get haircuts on their lunch breaks and then go back to work after... Which I can't even fathom the idea.

Right now my routine is to first take a shower, because I'm not going to go to the barber without first taking a shower. Then get dressed, drive to the barbershop, get my hair cut, then drive right back home again and take another shower. When I was working, I always stopped off to get a hair cut on my way home. Never on my way to work.

I have actually had a few barbers that were good enough about controlling the cut hair and vacuuming it all up, so I din't really have to take a shower afterwords. But my current barber is not that good at it.
