I wear a medical ID band, but am having heaps of trouble finding one that doesn't drive me crazy, and suits my needs. I usually wear a silicone band, but the sizes are never right (adult too big, child too small) and it drives me absolutely crazy either being too tight when I get hot, or riding up my arm when not, plus in every sort of band I get (even embossed silicone ones) it always flips over so the ID plate is under my wrist.
Which drives me crazy - I have to keep readjusting it all the time, fiddling with it, keep thinking about keeping an eye on it in case it does it again, etc. Annoying.
But sensory-wise I don't want to get one of the spoke watchband type of ones, because the bulky feel of it is uncomfortable.
I'm also working a physical job right now, and I have had bands break, or the lettering / medical symbol come off, just because I use my hands. I has to be something that I can get wet.
I also prefer autistic over I have autism and do not want my name or any emergency contact information for other people on it so that rules out a bunch of them.
I've been trawling online to no avail except one etsy one I sent an enquiry in about customization.
Anyone who wears a medical ID - what do you wear? Do you have sensory issues with it?
I need to find one that's just right, that I can just put on and get on with my life without fussing about it all the time.

Check out the Lauren S. Hope Foundation at https://www.laurenshope.com/

With their extensive selection, you are sure to find one to your liking. I got one that was designed to wear while swimming and that let me write my own message.

I "wear" a soft lanyard (with a colorful plastic I bought separately) which says I may not respond to verbal commands. It gets too hot to be on my neck and part of the material has gotten rougher. So, I came up with the idea of using a light-weight carabiner clip to clip on instead.
Might putting a medical ID somewhere else visible be an option?
