I have interview and days work taster at a salon. Being on the autistic spectrum I'm not sure if it's a good idea.

Hair hasn't always been my big interest but I do love making people feel better.

Opinions please

Would the environment present any sensory issues, and if so, would it be manageable?
If that portion is ok, then it may be worth trying. It might not be your raison d'être, but it could be fun and good experience for future jobs.

Aspies can work in all sorts of environments. You or I might not be able to handle it, but the incredible diversity of Aspies make it quite likely that out of all the Aspies out there, there is bound to be at least a few out there who can handle it.

Roses for Autism found this out. They try out Aspies in all sort of jobs, not just growing roses. They do IT, telemarketing, flower arranging, and driving the delivery truck. And those are just the ones that I remember.
