an aural migraine is where, with or without headache, you suddenly notice that there are frequency notches in your hearing [IOW pitch ranges, generally in the middle of the sonic spectrum] replaced with a buzzing, chirping, ringing or hissing sound of the same frequency. it is analogous to the visual migraines some people have, but instead of the visual migraine's scintillating scotomas, there is just the buzzing sound. the ones I've had went away [thank GOD!!
] after a while of rest, darkness, and the trio of anti-inflammatory/acetaminophen/caffeine] takes effect, generally within the hour. who else here has experienced this?
