Just wondering does anyone else feel like they are completely separate from society?

I don't think completely separated but most definitely far away from the mainstream of it.

I'm a "part of society," by default, since I have to go to work every day, and deal with people.

This enables me to earn an income so I buy from stores and take care of myself. Therefore, I am "part of the economy," too.

I feel some detachment from the "mainstream" society, though.

I definitely don't feel like it. A lot of the time, I feel like my existence doesn't matter, to be honest.

I function in it, but "society" is not really aware that I exist. On multiple choice polls, I prefer "none of the above" rather frequently.

I think Somewhat fills that function.

Noted. I was closer to "No" on this one, but I was thinking of more complex public opinion polls, where they ask if the government should put more money into something, and I want to say, "Yes, but to undo what you are doing now."

If there was an option that said "hell no and I don't want to be part of society" then I would have chosen that option instead.

I have a very sophisticated program of NT avoidance that I enjoy very much and it gives me great satisfaction and unfortunately our society is made up of mostly NTs, so society has been successfully avoided and happily so.

In a practical sense, somewhat. I do contribute to the society and exists in it.
Yet, in a spiritual sense, I don't feel like I'm a part of it.

It's only familiarity of it's structural order, and knowledge out of past experience. No amount of staying and enjoying within said culture ever make me feel like it's 'home'. :|

I definitely exist outside the social structure of my school cohort. It's lonely, but I sort of like it. I don't think I could manage being a proper part of the social structure.

Hell, no. I frankly don’t give a tinker’s damn about society. I just want to be left alone!

Part of society as a whole? Yes, probably as much as anyone.

Part of a few organisations that consider me an important member? Also yes.

An important part of anyone's life in society, beyond just a member of above mentioned groups, other than family? No.

Anyway, I voted Yes, on the basis that this question is about society and not individuals. Sort of funny that, with us having trouble seeing the big picture instead of the details, I consider myself part of the big picture, but not the details.
:)
