I’m a nurse at a disability centre. I haven’t declared my aspergers. I’m flying under the radar with the help of my sertraline.

Fingers crossed it lasts. I just have to get my son through university then I can go flexi time.

My persona is ‘A Sweetie’ and I’m receiving positive feedback so far. I’m working hard at not offending anyone.

Yep. Good luck!

And don't tell anybody! At least for the first year or so.

My wife is an LPN in a nursing home.

Thanks for the replies :D

I was in a nursing home, but the manager was driving me nuts. I had to get out, it was a bad place.

Congratulations on the new job and successfully flying under the radar. Long may it continue :)

Congratulations. I understand that many people go through life feeling like actors faking it. One thing that helps me is having a sense of humour. If I can get a laugh, I feel safe and accepted, even if sometimes I make myself the butt of the joke. Being known as a joker, I can pass off various eccentric moments as failed attempts at humour.

Nice job! The entire employment experience was always such a tremendous hardship for me as well in both finding, keeping and not offending my coworkers.

I hope it works out for you!

:D
