As I have mentioned I have been a member of Toastmasters off and on for a while. I joined a new club that has been around for many years and we had our awards ceremony. It was mentioned again that I am by far the most enthusiastic in the club and won that award in a landslide and have been repeatedly given anonymous feedback during meetings that I have the ability to make otherwise boring and mundane subjects fun and enjoyable to listen to. The words "high energy" and "passionate" have been used at every club I have belonged to. Who would have thought? I honestly assumed I was a boring speaker that people were only humoring me but either 25+ people are playing a prank or I recently found a new talent. I mentioned to my wife about these revelations and she just shrugged her shoulders and said "no surprise there".

That's fantastic, congratulations! I absolutely think autistic people are capable of being witty and entertaining, and that in the right circumstances, others appreciate our outside-the-box perspective on things.

Speaking publicly is a huge challenge though - great job in not just overcoming obstacles, but actually excelling at it! :D

Congratulations. I've been studying YouTube presenters, and notice that they avoid being "talking heads." More like talking Italians, without the accent. :-) I have taught a few classes and been well received, but the time and stress just are not worth it to me. I still love getting a laugh in public, though. It does wonders for feeling safe and accepted.
