Are you good at math, logic, and computer, but horrible at chess?

Both, I obsessively think about patterns, numbers, maths, and dynamical systems.

I've always been great with logic, math, and computers. But I am terrible at chess. I understand the fundamentals, but chess requires that ability to "see" several moves in the future, and that's where it gets me.

Yes! That, and also the ability to keep track of many different things on the board at the same time as well. When I do play chess, my brain is very tired at the end of the game.

I find speed chess totally amazing. I take a long time for most moves, and seldom feel like I'm finished thinking. Maybe postal chess would have suited me best.
