As an ASD adult, it gives me comfort to know that one person, universally celebrated at this time of year, most likely is too.

Consider the following -

Q. Do you prefer to do things with others or on you own?

A. The elves help somewhat, but I generally prefer delivering the presents myself

Q. Do you prefer to do things the same way over and over again?

A. Very much so: I choose the same date every year

Q. Do you frequently get so strongly absorbed in one thing that you lose sight of other things?

A. You try wrapping 26 million million presents in 1 night.

Q. Are you fascinated by dates?

A. There are other dates than December 25th?

Q. Do you tend to have very strong interests, which you get upset about if I can't pursue?

A. Listen mate, if I didn’t pursue my special interest, the whole world would get upset.

Q. Are you good at social chitchat?

A. "Ho, Ho, Ho" is about my limit.

Q. Do you like to collect information about categories of things? 

A. Totally - International Chimney Cowel Sizes

Why only 26 million presents?

Who knew Santa was on the spectrum?!


Only thing is, I think he is pretty good at chit-chatting with kids, although I suppose that is sort of following the same script every time.

And always wears the same outfit in a nice soft felty material
