Is it a meltdown if severe anger is not involved. I had something happen yesterday, a courier was supposed to be dropping something off, I’ve waited almost a week for it, but they made a mistake and it didn’t happen. Once I realised it wasn’t happening I started really frustrated, then feeling really anxious and panicky, after a while of feeling like that I had to go to bed for most of the day, switch phone off and ignore everything. Once I was back up I still felt like crap and spent most of the time trying to stop thinking about it by doing various things I enjoy(struggled). Today I’m still feeling anxious but kind of run down from it. There are times when I get severely emotional and angry when similar happens then other times it more like I’ve described. Is it a meltdown?

I think what you describe is more of a shutdown than a meltdown. When I go into a meltdown, I have a very strong desire to destroy something, that is very hard to quash.

I've thrown temper tantrums, and otherwise had meltdowns, without being extremely angry for most of the tantrum and meltdown. It's freaky, really.

Took a couple of days to get over it fully. Hopefully the same doesn’t happen next week when the courier has been rearranged. I’ve read contradicting things on meltdowns and anger, some say it can come without.
