I have realised that I have pretty severe issues with bright lights etc. I have had migraines my whole life and also always look at the floor when I walk not just to avoid meeting people's eyes but because I often find looking up just too bright. I hate florescent lights and often can seem then flickering. I don't really know what other people do? Would be nice if anyone has any tips :)

I wear lightly tinted shades.

Yep, sunglasses. I keep a pair on me at all times. Also hats and hoodies can be of help sometimes.
If none of those things are around, I've found that it helps looking directly towards the brightest light source with my eyes closed. It is awful to do it, kinda hurts, but once I look away and open my eyes again, the eyes have adjusted to the bright light, so everything around it is much less intense to look at.

Yup, pretty much never go outside without sunglasses. 8)

Indoors in spaces I can control, I always use lower wattage "soft white" light bulbs. A good shade on a lamp gives a nice warm light.

Thanks for the replies, I think I need to look into getting prescription sunglasses (I need glasses), hopefully that would make my life a lot easier. Thankfully my office is being nice and tries not to put the lights on too bright in the room, however meeting rooms etc I can't decide how strong the light is and it often really gets to me. I often find when I get tired etc. my light sensitivity goes up quite a bit, like right now its hurting with just normal room light bulbs.

Were they specially made or just light sunglasses? My glasses are slightly tinted.
