I am, and I have found this common in people on the spectrum. I also have no intellectual fear of death.

Yes, and, according to my therapist, I catastrophize everything. Catching myself doing it helps me lighten up on the whole life-or-death thought trap.

I really have no desire to die. I’m scared that I will have no control of my movements once I die.

Once you're dead. What movements would there be to control?

I'm extremely cynical, but not fatalistic. Working off the "worst case scenario" is the best way to avoid actually going through it, in my experience.

Perhaps, your "soul" enables you to "move."

I mean....sphere which encompasses experiencing the sensual. At least some fulfillment.

But I do get what you mean. You have a belief that you will meet nice people "on the other side."

I hope I didn't upset you in any way. That's not my intention at all.

I do have a rather passionate fascination in regards to what happens when we die. And obviously, there's only one way to find out. I can't wait to find out. I don't think i fear death itself, but i'm not too fond of pain and a large part of me is mostly worried about missing something. I think when it's my time, I'd at least like to be in a position to enjoy the transition with maximum curiosity. Is it morbid to think like that?

I think of death as being an absolute void, an absolute vacuum---until proven otherwise.

Fatalistic: "relating to or characteristic of the belief that all events are predetermined and therefore inevitable."

^^^ I am about as far from that belief as one could be. I can be cynical for sure, but I believe very strongly that we have a choice, even when we don't feel like we do. The choices we and people around us make dictate how the world around you goes. I can say things are inevitable but I never fully believe that, someone could always change their minds :).

Believing in predetermined things makes life seem pretty boring lol, it basically seems to suggest there are no consequences for your actions because in some way you had no control over them, which is bollocks if you will excuse my french ahah.

As to fearing death, yer I do, I was brought up mega religious, but I don't really believe in it anymore, I am sure I will always have that thought in the back of my mind that there is an afterlife and I am going to burn in it *shrugs*.

I am glad you seek to live life to its fullest.

This will be great practice for you when you reach the "greater heights" of the world beyond life.

Nope. Motor nerves releasing the appropriate neurotransmitters to the appropriate muscle groups do this. Science has no room for spirit.

Do you remember what it was like when the T-Rex roamed the Earth? Neither do I. That's death IMO. We have all been dead before, and it troubled us not at all.

I didn't mean to upset you, Maria.
