chem trails cause autism
not eating broccoli during pregnancy causes autism
conceiving under a full moon causes autism
mobile phones cause autism
microwaves cause autism
food poisoning causes autism
grandparent having had measles causes autism
listening to heavy metal music during pregnancy causes autism
not listening to Mozart during pregnancy causes autism
being a liberal voting parent causes autism..

I know this thread is meant to be sarcastic, but on a serious note, I discussed one possible cause with my mother a while ago. Apparently there had been a slight complication during my birth - the umbilical cord had gone around my neck, and there was a slight lack of oxygen in my brain. I jokingly said that I wondered if that was why I have Asperger's, but it actually seems like a serious possibility.

Nobody mentioned the stupid 'vaccines cause autism', my personal favourite and a myth that can actually kill. Much patronised by airheads like Oprah.

Do you have to eat the pet shampoo for it to work? I need to know in case I'm cured from eating broccoli (lover it). :D

The cause of autism is being spoiled by your parents while they are really mean and cruel to your sibling. My sister explained this to me so it must be true.

I think you just have to touch or sniff it. But for the full effect, maybe you should eat it. LOL

While it's still ongoing, my research indicates that those who are autistic show increased signs of autism vs. those who are not autistic. I'll let you know how things pan out, but I'd sure appreciate another 250k to continue my research, if you don't mind.
