I like wearing noise-cancellation headphones. It's comforting and peaceful. :)

I just can not leave the house without my headphones, the last time I forgot I literally had a panic attack, I detest the movement and the thousands of sounds around me, music makes me much calmer and more relaxed.

I never wear headphones when I am out. Although I find noise extremely difficult to deal with at times, I cannot cope with having my hearing seriously compromised. It makes me feel very vulnerable as I am less aware of what is going on around me.

I wear earphones when walking to work because it's during rush hour when there's a lot of young people about, so concentrating on the music helps me take my mind off of being self-conscious. It doesn't filter out sounds though, as I can still hear loud motorcycles passing on the road, but my sensitivity to other people is more severe than sound sensitivity.

I wear earphones with music playing whenever I can. If I'm anywhere and I get overwhelmed or upset, I put them on and it helps a lot.

Bone-conduction headphones don't block out sounds, so you can still hear everything around you.

I carry earphones because music distracts me from mental echolalia. I joke that the music drowns out the voices in my head. Close enough.

Normally I don't, but as a result I get caught in situations where I need some ear protection and have nothing with me.

The usual situation is when i have gone with my beloved's to a club, and the sound levels are high.

I do wear headphones depending on how loud the situation is. At a large and loud sporting event, music concert, and sometimes, even at the larger model train shows I attend, I wear my headphones. I have 2 different pairs, one is a nice noise canceling one that I can also play music thru. I keep those at home. I have a pair that are just for hearing protection that I wear out. I also wear them all the time when I am on the factory production floor at work. While the sound isnt so loud in most parts of the plant that they are required, there is soooooo much background noise that it is overwhelming, espically after a 10 hour shift. AD
