I want to know how it will look like and how it will be?

Pretty much the same as it is now?

Except there will probably be much less adult diagnoses because people know what to look for in kids better. I think the large number of adult diagnoses we are seeing now is largely because High Functioning Autism was basically unknown until 1994, and even after that, psychologists weren't instantly diagnosing every case.

Maybe autism will become the next political correctness. 50 years ago people were allowed to say certain words about black people on TV, but nowadays you have to be careful with everything you say as not to offend anyone about their race. Also in the UK foreign people are not allowed to be discriminated against. So I think in about 50 years time autism (and other neurological disorders) will become more well known, accepted and not discriminated against in any way. So it might become easier for autistics to find jobs because all employers will be obliged to employ autistics and other non-NTs. In fact it's happening already. I know most autistics do feel discriminated against and can't get jobs or the right support, but just think 50 years ago there was less awareness on things like Asperger's and autism, and now there is more awareness than before, so in another 50 years it might become "trendy".

Hopefully, people will know that many people with autism can be useful citizens, and faithful friends--even though they are "socially inept."

Hopefully, employers will see the many talents of autistic people, and utilize them----instead of emphasizing "teamwork" over individual initiative.

Why does it matter? I'll be extremely old or dead by then.

Yes, it will be caught earlier. Fewer folks not be dxd when they over fifty or even over 25. And I'm optimistic that society will become more autism friendly, and better able to bring out the talents of ASD folks vocationally.

Probably more redefining and rebracketing of what ASD (and other conditions like ADHD and dyslexia)are, as more is learned about it. The categories might change, and some might merge, and other labels might be split.

It might be broken up with different names. Some of these "Autisms" will be curable. Those that do not take the cure will be looked at as having a factitious disorder, insurance won't be provided or provided at much higher rates, employers will be likely to not want to hire anyone who do not take the cure.

We do not know a lot of what things or combination of things cause autism and there are differences as to what is a autism as we gain knowledge we might find that it is separate conditions needed separate labels. The diagnosis of Autism itself was separated from schizophrenia.

The cure scenario I outlined is preventable or at least can be mitigated. I predicted it is going to happen because Autism is complicated making many too confident a cure won't be found.
