Aspie solidarity is a big fat myth
The big functioning aspies who have jobs and can have normal relationships come here and ignore the rest of us. The mental hospital inpatients, the nobodies, the damaged goods.
There are two kinds of aspies. The successful ones, largely able to hide their condition and the unsucessful ones who have no choice but to be recognised as what we are.
Comparing with others will not help you. We all have the same problem to varying degrees.

Nothing and no one will help me. I have been in several mental hospitals, have lifelong scars from reading my face open in several places with a knife. I am more shy and scared than you could dream of. It matters not to me what you think of me. I am finished anyway. Such is life. Some win, some lose.
I don't think its a case of them ignoring us I think its a case of people with autism are not really the best to give advice. I honestly think the reality is people and maybe ourselves included look at autism as a condition than can cured. We wouldn't expect someone without legs to learn how to run.

You think I'm successful and have it great just because I'm "high functioning" (I hate that phrase) and female? I'm not.
Before I was diagnosed and for quite a time afterwards I was treated like a criminal. I was forced to live in places and be in situations no one one the spectrum should be. I'm lucky to actually be living in my own apartment where I have control over my situation instead of a home for severely mentally ill and/or mentally disabled people where there's no privacy and everyone wants to touch and grab you and the staff order you to leave your room and interact with others.
And because you're "not autistic enough" people think you're exactly the same as NT and expect you to act that way all the time, even when you're in a situation that would end up giving many NTs a nervous breakdown.
I've never had a real job. I never even got my high school diploma because the constant bullying made me a complete wreck and I left after barely two months. I've never made my childhood dreams come true. Almost everyone I grew up with left home and have real jobs and families and homes and lives. I don't and because there are no resources in the hick town I live in I never will be.
If I had been diagnosed when I was still very young my life might have been different, and a lot better. Maybe I would have gotten the help I actually needed and become a successful adult instead of going through all kinds of hell and back. But it's too late and no matter how content I might be I will never, ever forget all the pain and ignorance and garbage I constantly heard from "experts". ![]()

I too feel like my life would be much better had I been diagnosed as a child. I spent most of my school time daydreaming, in early years I was in special needs in later years I managed to get decent grades without paying attention or much effort. My parents were abusive towards me in my late teens had they had known I had aspergers maybe they would have not been. Maybe I would have been given free money like everyone else I knew and wouldn't had been so alienated from society.

No, I have sympathy for you. I didn't say all females. I said it is mostly females who have it good on the spectrum but of course not all.
I have been in situations where I have been bullied by police or security officials to the point I fear being murdered. And I don't believe anyone would stick up for me. That is what scares me. I think some aspies are blind to how bad things are. They have had things too good to know.
There are two kinds of aspies. The successful ones, largely female and able to hide their condition and the unsucessful ones who have no choice but to be recognised as what we are.
How can you tell who is high functioning , has a good job , been in the nut house , has a normal relationship etc
My experience here is that everyone was really helpful when I first joined regardless of their status ( not that I knew it )
How do you see me , what category do you place me in ?

I would say you are high functioning. People here who ignore me because they think they're above me speak to you. I am sure I am burning all my bridges here at this point but whatever, I have nothing to lose. I have known for months people here wanted me gone anyway. I was cramping people's style.

I used to be very high functioning but have regressed and it's been a steep learning curve again. I don't have a job , I have a GF but it's far from a normal relationship and I have been in and out of the nuthouse all my life.
I don't think you are burning bridges , you haven't actually called anyone out and anyone who thinks you are aiming the post at them is maybe a little too sensitive. I didn't catch the vibe that you are cramping anyone style or anyone wants you gone. I think you maybe reading too much into things due to depression or low self esteem ( I do it all the time ). I've said it before and I'll say it again , not everyone here is a twat.

Is it sexism to see females as stronger ? I thought that's complimentary but what do I know I'm a manchild

I don't think you are burning bridges just having a low point, lots of us go through them.

We do not owe you anything, we have our own problems.
Having a job is no Christmas and you have to fight with office politics and psychopath managers, deal with social interaction and the stress from commuting to work every day with 5 billion low empathy people who stand 2 inches next to you. Same goes with dealing with society in general. You are in between two extremes - you are not an NT and you are not a helpless autistic that can't tie your own shoelaces.
You have to figure out things for yourself: remember to pay bills on time, deal with a**hole neighbours, clean your house, do dishes, remember to take your meds (if you are on some), deal with loneliness since you probably won't be having a relationship most of your life.
Sure, i have money and my own place, but i do not live a full life like NTs do. I try to, but i do not expect miracles to happen. You're painting a mental picture inside your head that does not match the lives we are really living.
